Penne with Marinara


Penne with Marinara. So good and so simple. I add some spicy Italian sausage and its my husbands favorite pasta...that's not saying much though because add spice to anything and its his favorite. I prefer it without the sausage :)

1 28 oz can drained and chopped Italian peeled tomatoes

1/4 cup olive oil. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

Add two minced garlic cloves and saute until golden brown about two minutes.

Add the tomatoes along with 1 tsp kosher salt and 1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper.

bring to a simmer, reduce the heat to low and cook until thickened, about twenty minutes.

Cook 1lb penne pasta.

Sprinkle with fresh torn Basil and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
