carne asada

I do realize this is technically a photography blog but I just cant help myself I LOVE taking pictures of food. I discovered this awhile ago before I started blogging so back then I would have the random food shot mixed in with my other photos just sitting there lonely with no real purpose but now that I have a reason to take photos of food I may be going a little overboard with it:) so anyways even though this really isn't a cooking blog it would be weird if I just put photos of food up so I have to write the recipe along with it. I guess I could just change my blogger name to something all encompassing but that would be a lot of work and if you read my recent post entitled My friend Sylvia you would see I'm not all that creative with naming things.
So good guacamole.
5 soft ripe avocados
1/2-1 cup pico de gallo
dash of garlic salt
1/2 cup sour cream
fresh lime juice to taste

Pico de gallo
5 tomato's
1/2 lrg onion
1 jalapeno (more or less to taste)
small handful fresh chopped cilantro
salt and pepper to taste

Carne Asada Marinade
1 lrg onion
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup olive oil
1 garlic clove
small bunch of fresh cilantro
blend until smooth. Marinate in fridge for a few hours or overnight.

I used round steak this time but whatever you prefer is fine ( I usually just buy whatever says carne asada on the package. I know very creative). Sprinkle your meat with rock salt and cilantro.

Grill it up:)
Slice thin and serve on corn tortillas with your Pico de Gallo and fresh Guacamole. I make Spanish rice to go with this.
