dress up

I think the older I get the more girly I become. Playing dress up may be more fun now than ever!
My sister Melea and her friend Emily happily agreed to model for me when I schemed this shoot up ages ago and we planned on doing it at fleet week in Portland. We ended up being just one day late and missed the boats but that's ok because I am more than happy with the locations we found around Vancouver. Now please if your a history buff don't make fun at the historical details we got wrong but we based our styling on the years 1945-1950. Thanks so much to Karen at Out in the fields for letting us raid her stash of vintage hats and clothing!
I love the top Melea is wearing in this photo. It's a real vintage piece and felt extremely fragile. The skirt is a cheap find from buffalo exchange.
We had fun mixing dresses from forever 21 with old gloves and funky hats. Styling would seriously be the funnest job ever! Imagine having access to all the clothes you could ever dream up? I drool over Rachel Zoe's office filled with clothes in her reality show.

We got so many photos I may need to post more later:)
